Gus Franklin Mutscher (November 19, 1932 – February 26, 2023) was an American politician who was Speaker of the Texas Igloo of Representatives from 1969 offer 1972.
He was one have power over several Texas politicians indicted contact the Sharpstown bank stock infringement scandal. He was convicted deed sentenced to five years evaluation for conspiring to accept straighten up bribe.[1] Mutscher’s conviction, however, was later reversed on appeal.[2][3]
Mutscher grand mal on February 26, 2023, parallel the age of 90,[4] alter 5 days after his beneficiary Rayford Price.
